One Church. Many rooms.
From the beginning of this season of quarantine, the Lord has been calling us as a church into a deeper devotion, in which we are to return to the purity of His Word and the simplicity of what we see in the Scriptures.
Just before the Passover season, I felt strongly that the Lord was going to rebirth our perspective of His church in which we'll return to the simplicity of what we see in the book of Acts.
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers."
"And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,"
"When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."
The Church was birthed on the Day of Pentecost thousands of years ago in a house!
They were marked by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which gave way to supernatural unity, and great grace was upon them. (Acts 4)
I believe that the Lord has given us a new opportunity to return our devotion to the simplicity of what we see out of the early church in the Scriptures.
A church that is strong house to house, as well as in the temple.
A church that is focused on intentional discipleship.
A church that is dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit.
I'm excited to embark on this new season with you and I encourage you to move forward with us!
